Another part of the mis-guided expectations some have is greed. If it sounds easy and they believe they can make a bundle of cash in a short amount of time, then they’re all for it. I don’t really feel sorry for these people when they get taken advantage of. It’s almost as if they have it coming.

Those who go on to be successful are people who sit down and make both short and long term plans in order to make money from home on the Internet. These people know it will take months, maybe even a year before they start seeing any appreciable amount of income from the Internet and their hard work. And they’re okay with that.

They see doing all the hard work up front as an investment. It’s this knowledge that keeps them going, building one website after another, adding products, building backlinks and all the other mundane task an Internet Marketer has to contend with.

I always laugh when I hear someone complain about how much work they must do to earn money off of the Internet. I set up a small computer desk in the spare bedroom. Before we moved to this house, my “office” was in the corner of our bedroom. Not luxurious, but quiet and organized.

So take a good long look at your situation before thinking about making money from home. Are you really just after a few quick dollars or do you really genuinely want to build a long term business up. Do you understand that it will take lots of time and patience?
